Case Study: Sonoma Land Trust
-
Client
Founded in 1976, Sonoma Land Trust works to protect the natural, scenic, agricultural, and open lands of Sonoma County, California. Over the last 50 years, the organization has protected an incredible 63,000 of wild lands.
Sonoma Land Trust has a wide supporter base, including private donors; local, state, and national government organizations, conservation partners, and many more.
-
Brief
As the organization approached their 50th anniversary, a new website was needed—one that showcased their many accomplishments to date, gave supporters easy ways to get involved, and laid the groundwork for the next 50 years.
We worked alongside a talented team of internal professionals, as well as Eclipse Media Solutions on the full website relaunch—an in-depth, collaborative project that spanned most of 2025.
-
Scope
This project was a full, down-to-the-studs renovation of their website, so we started with audience research, stakeholder interviews, and a deep dive into their many programs and projects.
From there, we got into content, auditing, outlining, writing, and revising nearly 100 pages. Our work didn’t stop with the content handed off—we continued to collaborate with design and development through launch day/
